Editing hotspots

Web objects have points and paths like graphic objects. Use the Pointer, Subselection, and Transform tools to edit a hotspot. Other editing tools, such as the Reshape tool, do not edit hotspots.

To edit a selected hotspot using points:

1 Choose the Pointer tool or Subselection tool.
2 Drag points:
A rectangle hotspot changes position and dimensions but remains rectangular.
A circle hotspot changes position and diameter but remains circular.
A polygon hotspot changes shape according to the location of the moved point.

To convert a selected hotspot into a rectangle, circle, or polygon hotspot:

1 Choose Window > Object to open the Object inspector.
2 Choose Rectangle, Circle, or Polygon from the Shape pop-up menu.

To transform a selected hotspot:

1 Choose a Transform tool.
2 Drag the transform handles.

To skew a selected hotspot:

1 Choose Polygon from the Shape pop-up menu in the Object inspector to convert the hotspot to a polygon hotspot.
2 Choose the Skew tool and drag the transform handles.
